About Monster Mash

Dave Sharp - MMM2009

The Malborough Music Monster Mash was bornwhen our dear friend Dave Sharp was diagnosed with cancer in 2008.

The first Monster Mash was held to raise money for Dave's family and cancer charities. Before Dave sadly lost his battle against cancer in June 2009 he expressed his wishes for us to continue the Monster Mash and to put the money back into the community to help children develop their musical talent. Since then we have formed Dave Sharp Young Musicians Fund ( UK registered charity number 1140803 ).

One of the main achievments of the fund to date has been the successful development of the Music Workshops, which have now been running for over 2 yrs in the term term. We would like to take this opportunity to thank The Kingsbridge Primary School, who have kindly donated the use of their venue and facilities.

We now have over 40 kids on our register, many of whom will be playing at the Malborough Music Monster Mash in 2013!

Some of the money rasied is used to purchase musical equipment for the benefit of the kids, such equipment includes:-

In addition to the money we spend on the workshops, we also make an annual donation to our nominated charities as below.

None of this would be possible without our fantastic community. Whether it be from helping with tutition, sponsorship, working at the mash, or buying a ticket and coming for a good mosh, thank you all so much for your continued support of this wonderful cause.
